The Northeast Chapter of the
Washington Native Plant Society is centered in Spokane WA. Our location offers us the opportunity to observe, explore, and protect a wide range of native plant community types including subalpine meadows, mid-elevation and subalpine forests, ponderosa pine dominated woodlands, Palouse prairie remnants, shrub-steppe communities, riparian zones, and seasonal and permanent wetlands.   Our membership includes professional botanists, knowledgeable amateur plant enthusiasts, and enthusiastic newcomers who are interested in learning more about their natural surroundings.  The public is invited to attend our meetings and educational programs on the fourth Tuesday of the month (September through May) at the Manito Park Environmental Education Building, join us on field trips to some of our outstanding examples of native vegetation throughout eastern Washington and northern Idaho, and to participate in our volunteer projects in native plant preservation, education,  and landscaping with native plants .

Check here for a calendar of other upcoming events, meetings, and field trips.
